Step 1 (Evaluation)
To pass Step 1, you must:
- Achieve an 8% profit target.
- Complete at least 3 profitable days.
- Follow all trading rules and loss limits.
After passing Step 1, you automatically proceed to Step 2.
Step 2 (Evaluation)
To pass Step 2, you must:
- Achieve a 6% profit target.
- Complete at least 3 profitable days.

After passing Step 2, your entire evaluation is reviewed. If successful, you become a Funded GOAT Trader.
Step 3 (Funded)
- Complete at least 3 profitable days, each with a minimum of 0.5% to be eligible for a Payout (Resets after each payout)
- Follow all trading rules and loss limits including goat guard (What Is Goat Guard).
Exception: For accounts purchased on or after July 25th, 2026, the Funded stage requires 4 profitable days, each with a minimum of 0.5% profit to be eligible for a payout, instead of the standard 3-day requirement.
What Is A Minimum Profitable Day?
- A minimum profitable day is a day on which you close at least one position and your profit for that day is at least 0.5% of the initial account balance, net of fees and commissions.
Account Violations (Hard Breach)
Violation of these rules results in immediate account closure.
1. Daily Drawdown Limit 4%
How is it calculated?
- At 5:00 PM EST, we check the higher value between the Account Balance or Account Equity.
- Subtract 4% of that value to set the Daily Drawdown Threshold for the next trading day. Your "daily starting balance" is whichever is higher, your balance or your equity, at the 5PM EST reset.
2. Maximum Loss Limit (Hard Breach) — 10% (Static)
This is your Absolute Floor. Your account equity or balance must never drop below 90% of your starting capital.
How is it calculated?
Maximum Loss = Initial Account Size − 10%
Rewards & Profit Split
Once you are a Funded GOAT Trader, the following rules apply:
Profit Split: 80% (Traders keep 80% of their profit).
Payout Cycle: Bi-weekly (Every 14 days).
Daily Profit Cap: Funded accounts have a $3,000 daily profit limit.
*Note: Profits exceeding this are deducted but do NOT result in an account breach.
Initial 2 Payout Caps: For the first two payouts, withdrawals are capped at 6% of the initial account size or $10,000 (whichever is lower). This restriction is removed after the 2nd successful payout.
Exception: For $5k Two-Step accounts, the cap is 4% of the initial account balance instead of 6%. This applies only to accounts purchased from July 25th, 2026 onward.
