What is Goat Stride?
Goat Stride is an instant funded account with a $2,500 balance. You do not pass a challenge first. There is no Phase 1, no Phase 2 and no profit target. You trade a funded account from the first day and can request a reward once you meet the rules below.
Goat Stride uses the Instant HERO rule set. In your dashboard the account appears under the name Instant Hero with a $2,500 balance. That is your Goat Stride account, and nothing has gone wrong with your order.
Account Violations (Hard Breach)
A hard breach happens when the account goes past the maximum daily loss or the maximum total drawdown. The account closes immediately.
1. Max Daily Drawdown – 3% (Trailing)
What does this mean?
The most you can lose in one trading day is 3% of your starting balance for that day.
How is it calculated?
The daily limit resets every day at 5 PM EST, based on your account balance or equity at that time. Your equity must not fall more than 3% below that figure during the trading day.
📌 Example:
A $2,500 account has a daily drawdown limit of $75. If your balance or equity falls below $2,425 that day, you have passed your daily loss limit.
2. Max Total Drawdown – 5% (Trailing)
What does this mean?
The maximum total drawdown is a trailing drawdown set at 5% of your equity. When your equity rises, the limit rises with it. When your equity falls, the limit stays where it is.
📌 Example:
On a $2,500 account:
Your starting limit is $2,375, which is 5% below $2,500.
If your equity reaches $2,600, the limit moves up to $2,470.
If your equity then falls to $2,550, the limit stays at $2,470.
N.B - The Maximum Loss Limit resets after each payout.
Understanding the 1% Max Floating Loss Rule
If your floating (unrealized) loss reaches 1% of your account balance at any moment, the account closes permanently.
On a $2,500 account, that is a combined open loss of $25.
Note - The 1% Floating Loss Rule applies on top of the 3% Daily Drawdown and the 5% Trailing Maximum Drawdown. You must respect all three at all times.
Minimum trading day requirement for Goat Stride accounts
You must complete at least 6 trading days before you request a reward. The days do not need to be consecutive. A day counts as a trading day only if it closes with a profit of at least 0.5% of your initial balance, which is $12.50 on a $2,500 account.
Consistency Rule
What is the consistency rule?
No single trading day can account for more than 15% of your total profit in a payout period. A best day of exactly 15% is eligible.
📌 Example:
If your best trading day made $150, your total profit must reach at least $1,000 before you can request a payout.
What Happens if I Go Over 15%?
Will my account be terminated?
No. Going over 15% does not close your account. You cannot request a payout until your best day is back at 15% or less of your total profit.
What should I do next?
Keep trading. As your total profit grows, your best day becomes a smaller share of it. Once it is at 15% or less, you can request a payout.
