Step 1 (Evaluation)
To pass Step 1, you must:
- Achieve a 10% profit target.
- Complete at least 3 profitable days.
- Follow all trading rules and loss limits.
After passing Step 1, you automatically proceed to Step 2.
Step 2 (Evaluation)
To pass Step 2, you must:
- Achieve the profit target you chose at checkout, 5% or 6%.
- Complete at least 3 profitable days.
- Follow all trading rules and loss limits.
After passing Step 2, your entire evaluation is reviewed. If successful, you receive your funded account.
Step 3 (Funded)
- Complete at least 7 profitable days, each with a minimum of 0.5% profit, to be eligible for a payout. The count resets after each payout.
- Follow all trading rules and loss limits, including Goat Guard.
What is a minimum profitable day?
A minimum profitable day is a day on which you close at least one position and your profit for that day is at least 0.5% of the initial account balance, net of fees and commissions.
Account violations (hard breach)
Breaking either of these limits closes the account immediately.
1. Daily Drawdown Limit, 3% or 4%
At 5:00 PM EST, we check the higher value between your account balance and account equity. We subtract your daily drawdown percentage from that value to set your limit for the next trading day.
Example
- Account balance: $105,000
- Account equity: $107,000 (the higher value)
- At 4%: $107,000 x 4% = $4,280, so your balance and equity must stay above $102,720 for that day.
- At 3%: $107,000 x 3% = $3,210, so your balance and equity must stay above $103,790 for that day.
2. Maximum Loss Limit, 10% (Static)
Your account balance or equity must never drop below 90% of your initial account size. The limit does not move as your balance grows.
Example
- Account size: $100,000
- $100,000 x 10% = $10,000
- Your balance and equity must never drop below $90,000.
Goat Guard (funded account only)
Goat Guard does not apply in Step 1 or Step 2. On the funded account, it triggers when the combined floating loss of your open positions reaches 2% of your initial account size. On a $100,000 account that is $2,000.
- First trigger: you receive an email and your profit split drops to 50%. Your account stays active.
- Second trigger: your open positions are closed and your account is breached.
For the full rule, see What is Goat Guard?.
Rewards and profit split
- Profit split: 85%. You keep 85% of your profit.
- Payouts: anytime, once you have completed 7 minimum profitable days, each with at least 0.5% profit. The 7 days reset after each payout, so you need 7 more before your next request.
- Daily profit cap: funded accounts have a $3,000 daily profit limit. Profit above this is deducted, but it is not a breach.
- First two payouts: a cap applies. See Funded Account Reward Guidelines.
- Best trade vs worst trade: your largest winning trade must be at least as big as your largest losing trade, so a tie passes. See How payouts work.
- Fee refund: your evaluation fee is refunded with your fourth payout on the account. See Is the Evaluation Fee refundable?
- Scaling: available on this model. See How does the scaling plan work?
Optional add-on at checkout
- 100% Profit Split
BOGO40 and free Pay Later account
- BOGO40: your free account has the same size, model and checkout options as the account you bought. See BOGO40 Promotion.
- Free Pay Later account: your purchase also comes with a free Pay Later account. See Pay Later Model.
