Step 1 (Evaluation)

To pass Step 1, you must:

After passing Step 1, you automatically move to Step 2.

Step 2 (Evaluation)

To pass Step 2, you must:

After passing Step 2, your evaluation is reviewed. If it is approved, you become a Funded GOAT Trader (Simulated Funded Account).

Step 3 (Funded)

Once funded, you must:

What Is A Minimum Profitable Day?

Account Violations (Hard Breach)

Breaking either of these limits closes the account immediately.

1. Daily Drawdown Limit 3%

How is it calculated?

Worked example
Account Balance$105,000
Account Equity$107,000 (Higher)
Threshold$107,000 × 3% = $3,210
$107,000 - $3,210$103,790
Your balance/equity must stay above $103,790 for that day.

2. Maximum Loss Limit 8% (Static)

This is your absolute floor. Your account equity or balance must never drop below 92% of your initial account balance. The floor is fixed and does not move up as your profit grows.

How is it calculated?

Worked example
Account Size$100,000
$100,000 × 8%$8,000
$100,000 - $8,000$92,000
Your Absolute Floor: Your account equity/balance must never drop below $92,000.

Floating Loss Limit 2% (Funded Only)

In the Funded stage, the combined floating (unrealized) loss of all your open positions must not reach 2% of your initial account balance.

The limit is a fixed amount for the life of the account: $2,000. It stays $2,000 even if your balance grows.

What happens if I reach it?

The first time your open positions reach the limit, you receive an email. Your positions stay open, the account stays active and you can keep trading, but your profit split is reduced to 50%.

The second time, the account is breached and permanently closed.

When does it count as a second time?

When the limit is reached, we record the group of positions open at that moment. While that same group stays open, its loss moving around or below the limit does not count again.

If you close one of those positions or open a new one, the group changes. If the new group reaches the 2% limit, that is the second time and the account is closed.

Worked example
The limit is $2,000.
Positions A and B reach a combined floating loss of $2,000. This is the first time: your profit split is reduced to 50% and you keep trading.
A and B stay open and their loss moves around $2,000. This still counts as the first time.
You open Position C, and A, B and C together reach a $2,000 floating loss. This is the second time, and the account is closed.

Consistency Rule 40% (Funded Only)

What is the consistency rule?

Worked example
If your best trading day made $800, your total profit must reach at least $2,000 before you can request a payout.

What happens if I go over 40%?

Best Trade vs Worst Trade (Funded Only)

Before you can request a payout, your largest winning trade must be at least as big as your largest losing trade.

Every closed trade counts on its own. If you close a position in parts, each part is a separate trade. Each trade's result includes commission and swap.

Until your first payout, the check covers every trade on your funded account. Each payout resets it, and from then on it only looks at trades closed after your last payout.

Worked example
If your largest loss this payout period is $400, your largest win needs to be $400 or more.

This is not a breach and does not affect your account. If you haven't met it yet, keep trading until you do.

Rewards & Profit Split

Once you are a Funded GOAT Trader, the following rules apply:

Profit Split: 80% (you keep 80% of your profit).

Payout Cycle: Bi-weekly (every 14 days).

Daily Profit Cap: A funded account can make a maximum of $3,000 profit per trading day. Profit above $3,000 is deducted from the account. This is not a breach.

Payout Cap: You can withdraw a maximum of $2,000 per payout. Any profit above this is deducted from the account balance. The cap applies to each payout, not to the total you can withdraw from the account.

Leverage Settings

Leverage is the same as on our other challenges. Forex is 1:100 in Step 1 and Step 2, and 1:50 once you are funded. For other instruments, see What is the account leverage?.
