Identity verification (KYC) - what to expect

Before we can process your first payout, we need to verify your identity (KYC) and have you sign our Trader Agreement. This keeps payouts secure and meets our verification requirements. Here's how it works.

When does KYC happen?

KYC and the Trader Agreement are completed when you request your first payout, not when you receive your funded account. You can start trading your funded account right away; you'll only be asked to verify your identity and sign the agreement when you request your first withdrawal.

How verification works

The verification provider depends on the payout method you choose:

  • Crypto, Skrill or bank transfer → verified through Veriff. When you request your payout, a Veriff link is sent to you automatically.

    • If Veriff is unable to verify you, we'll invite you to verify through Rise instead. Once completed, your payout is processed using the method you originally chose.

  • Rise → verified on the Rise platform.

    • If Rise is unable to verify you, we'll offer verification through Veriff. In that case your payout method will be changed to Crypto or Skrill, since a Rise payout requires Rise verification.

If your identity can't be verified through either provider, we're unable to process the payout. Our support team will contact you with the next steps.

Tips for smooth verification

  • Make sure the name on your GFT account matches your identity documents and your payout account.

  • Use a clear, valid, government-issued ID.

  • Complete verification promptly as your payout's 2 business day processing window starts once verification is complete.
